To introduce myself:
My name is Pierre.
I am 61 years old while I write these line in 2024 and I have been on the internet since forever! (smile).
I am a drummer, music lover passionate about everything that is around sound, lights, hi-fi and musical realities. On top of my drumming, I used to operate a small DJ and MC service from 1978 to 2001. (I am back to DJ ing since the last 2 years). I own my little recording studio and I am still active as a drummer in the amateur music world.
As a young adult, I tried to work as a tech in the PA world but I quickly discovered that the sound reinforcement world was not exactly what I was looking for. . Since, I have found a “real job” which allowed me to buy my own sound and lighting equipment for my personal projects. Since 1978, I acquired lots of experience with some success but with a lot of failure too which is on what my experience is based on.
Now retired (this is why I have a bit of time for this website), I worked as an electronic technician working for the same company for 32 years.
I keep myself busy fixing and renovating my old house, playing drums and listening to music, which give me the opportunity to discover new sounds, new singers and groups thanks to the internet. To get myself a few dollars, I drive a truck for a big company who specialized on the technical side of events (sound, television, lights for conference, trade show, translation…) which allow me to meet people and see the newest sound and lights equipment.
